Installation help
What to do after downloading
The download step ends when the file reaches your device. The software-specific information remains on the full software page; here, the focus is helping you identify the file and begin installation more safely.
Identify the format
EXE and MSI are commonly Windows installers, APK files are for Android, and ZIP or RAR files need to be extracted. Be cautious with unexpected extensions.
Prepare your system
Save your work, check available space and close important apps. For deeper system changes, a restore point can be useful.
A quick check helps prevent problems
- Confirm that the file came from the expected destination and decline offers for programs that are not part of the installation.
- Read every installer screen and review requested permissions before continuing.
- If the browser or antivirus shows a warning, stop and investigate the source and reason; do not disable protection on impulse.
- Keep the installer only if you may need the same version again, and keep the system updated.
About the download process
Where is the file saved?
Most browsers save it in the Downloads folder. The browser download history also shows the path and can open the correct folder.
The download did not start or stopped. What should I do?
Check the connection, available storage and browser history, then try the button on this page again. If a security warning appears, read its reason before continuing.
Can I install an older version?
That depends on compatibility and the software license. Check the previous versions section on the full software page and choose a version with a clear source and purpose.
The file is compressed. How do I open it?
Use an extractor that supports the format, inspect the contents before running anything and do not open files that do not match the expected software.
