Description

RustDesk is an open-source remote access software developed in Rust, offering direct control of computers without relying on proprietary servers. The application can operate in a portable mode, maintaining local settings and allowing immediate use, although there is also an installer for those who prefer to run it as a permanent service on the system.

The solution uses end-to-end encryption based on modern technologies, ensuring that only authorized devices can establish a connection. The security mechanism includes key exchange, identity verification, and protected communication, reducing interception risks. There is support for personal servers (RustDesk Server and HBBS/HBRelay), allowing the entire infrastructure to operate autonomously.

The quality of transmission can be manually adjusted, setting sharpness, resolution, and frame rate to balance performance on fast or slow networks. File transfer, multi-monitor support, view-only mode, and permission control during sessions are part of the available features.

Resource consumption is low, and response times remain stable even on long connections, making the software an open alternative to traditional remote desktop solutions.
