KeePass is an open source password manager that stores credentials in a database protected by a master password. Instead of memorizing multiple combinations, the user only needs to remember the main key used to unlock the encrypted file.
The program organizes entries by groups, allows you to search and sort records, generates random passwords and offers automatic completion through the Auto-Type feature. It also supports attachments, import and export, portable use and plugin architecture. The entire database, including users, URLs and notes, is protected by encryption.
