  • 09/05/2020

There are many unknown facts about Nepal. Probably Nepalese people don’t know about some facts about there own country. Here are some of them which I think most people don’t know.

Least Known Facts about Nepal

1. Nepal has got six seasons:

Well, this might surprise you a little bit but it's true. Though nowadays they are not much predicted. I think these 6 seasons are only limited to book nowadays. once when I was in class 4 or 3 I found the name of the seasons. Basanta Ritu(Spring), Grishma Ritu(Early Summer), Barkha Ritu(Summer Monsoon season), Sharas Ritu(Early Autumn), Hemanta Ritu(Late Autumn), Shishir Ritu(Winter) are six seasons of Nepal

2. An official working week of Nepal is Sunday-Friday

I don’t know about the working week of other countries but I don’t think any other country has a weekly holiday in Nepal.

3. Cows are considered to be a god in Nepal:

Well, cows are considered as a god in Hinduism, and the majority of the Nepalese population is Hindu so cows are a god in Nepal.

4. Gautama Buddha was born in Nepal:

I know almost everyone knows about this fact but the main thing is the real name of Buddha was Siddhartha Gautama and he was a prince of Lumbini and left off in search of peace and answer to some questions. Think if you were a prince and would you do that.

some quotes of Buddha

The mind is everything. What you think you become.
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.

6. About 82% of the Nepalese population is Hinduism which is the largest percentage of Hindus any country got.

Yeah, it's true that India is the country with the largest Hindu population but when we calculate the percentage of Hindu population Nepal comes before India. There are all together 81.3% percentage Hindu in Nepal to the total population whereas a percentage of Hindu population in India is 81.3%.
